Just wondering here before I pull it even thou its easy to do for the most part but right now doing any thing on the old gal is a hard chore for me. any way here it is its say 75 to 80 deg. F out side and if you turn the defroster on you get a fogged window for the bottom say 6 to 7 inches for only a short time then it clears up would that be normal or would that signal a leak of coolant in the heater system some how?

as I said just thinking here before I go pull it as this thin over heats if you push it some and once hot it dose not like to cool down almost like a no pressure thing but every part is new or at the oldest 3 years old and 25,000 miles new.

Dang I some how got to find the cash for a pressure tester now gggggrrrrr! But better this then say a head LOL!

If it were leaking, the fogging wouldn't go away as the engine got hotter, it would get worse and would be nearly non-existent when the engine is cold. Your issue is fairly normal, though I don't know why you are using your defroster in 75 degree weather. Anyways, you blow cool air on the warm glass before the engine heats up and the glass cools so you get condensation from the warm, humid air around. Just like your mirror fogs in the bathroom after a shower. Can you smell coolant inside the cab? If not, I would estimate you have nothing to worry about at this time.

I can kind of smell it but very very faint. The reason for using the defroster was just testing things out. I think I am going to go ahead and at lest pull the bottom cover from it and see if it has any wetness to it same with the drain area. if its leaking its not much at all but it may be just enough to let it lose pressure and that is what is helping it to run some what hot if you push it a bit and then it not wanting to cool back down .
