Hey guys,

I have a '02 Limited 8-cylinder explorer. I just had my entire air-intake replaced, a new EGR tube installed, and had a 8 new spark plugs and a new engine coil replaced on my truck. However, when idle at stop lights or signs, my truck will shut off (everything works electronically but the engine is off). Also, when hitting the throttle, it seems a little jerky and doesn't sound or feel right. Any tips or possible diagnosis? Much appreciated

Thanks,
Eddie

First thing I would do is get the codes pulled. Sounds like it could be a IAC, MAF, or fuel delivery problem. That or loose ground or electrical connection.

Yeah, I'm going to clean the IAC valve tomorrow and see if that will fix the issue. If not, I may just order the part and repair it. Thanks for the help!
