help rear upper door seal leaking!

Ive noticed a leak in the back every time it rains but haven't gotten a chance to look at yet, it's raining pretty steady today and noticed when inspecting the rear hatch door that the seal on the top isn't working because I can see daylight through it, also I have a pretty good leak coming down on the drivers side in the back above that storage area above the wheel well, any one else have this issue or is there a fix?

When you get back to your house or have a spot to work in that is dry check to see if your seal no seated all of the way around the hatch. Sometimes the glue gets weak and the seal detaches from the body. If that is the case, get some glue and re-seat it.

If your seal is dry rotted and cracked then you are going to need to replace it. Any major auto parts store with have new rubber door seals.

The leak above the rear wheel well area is because the rear side windows are actually held to the body with studs and nuts. I had this same leak on 2 of my trucks and simply tightening the nuts eliminated it completely. To get at the nuts (10mm if I remember correctly) pull out the plastic clips around the interior window trim. You don't need to completely remove the trim, just take it loose. Starting at the top of the window, go around and tighten the nuts. You'll probably find most of them to be very loose (barely finger tight). You don't need to go crazy, just snug them down. To prevent them from loosing in the future, it would probably be a good idea to put a drop of blue thread-locker on the studs first. When you're done, test it with a hose or a bottle of water along the top of the window. For a quick fix, you can also apply a strip of black electrical tape along the top of the exterior window trim.

The rear hatch seal looks like it isn't making contact with the hatch door when it's closed, I'll have to stop by and pick up some weather striping tonight
