All of a sudden today i smell somthing burning. I looked under the car and I cant tell whats leaking because its hitting the exhaust and burning off. Is there any hoses that could be leaking? if anyone know what it is that would be great! thanks

usually one of two issues, pinion seal or one of the transfercase seals.

Does it smell like antifreeze? Could be the heater control valve leaking. It is located next to the blower motor housing. It has about 4 hoses and a smaller vacuum hose attached to it as well. Very common for these to begin to leak over time.

I cant really tell what it smells like since it burns off but im going to check the antifreeze level to make sure thats not whats leaking...when it leeaks,it looks like it comes on the housing of the transmision and drips into the exhaust

I looked under the car today and looks like its leaking from the oil pan so I cleaned it off and let it run for a bit but nothing yet. Is leaking oil pan common ?

The seals do go bad on the pans...

mine did the same thing. I just followed the cleanest part of the motor upwards, and found my valve covers were leaking. Minor fix. Hope this helps!

Mine is doing the same thing its dripping from the back of the oil pan straight down on the pipe that crosses over just beneath it. I have not been able to find out where it leaking from either but the valve covers might be some thing to check out its just really hard to see on that side.

The valve cover gaskets dont look too hard but the oil pan does I think it can be done with the motor in. Do a search for both.
