HELP! Spring/Hinge like front Noise?

anyone out there experience a spring/hinge like sound in their front end? it's coming from the front driver side........I've checked everything, everything looks/feels ok.......i replaced the shocks too......still does it...........Goes over bumps and sounds like a spring is about to break at times. any ideas as to what it could be? I know ball joints don't do this....yet when i bounce the vehicle while i am below it, i place my hand on the lower A-arm and can feel the vibration as the noise is present......???/?? im banging my head on this one

If you have a 91-94, it sounds to me like worn out radius arm bushings. They can make that exact noise you describe, in the exact conditions you describe.

my explorer is a 96........ that noise is driving me nuts/ this truck only has 49k on it.......please HELP!
