Before lighting up it sounds like you are not getting good fuel pressure. When they changed out your pump did they change out the pressure regulator and fuel filter. Someone correct me if i am wrong.(dunno if they are seperate parts) But on my wifes car they changed the pump and it ran fine sputtered then died after 10 miles. filters are pretty cheap but hope its an easy fix if its not.

i changed the fuel pump just because the float was bad and the gas hand didnt work i really dont know what it coulod be they called me and said my U joints where bad but i dont know i can change U joints my self i mean if my u joints where bad wouldnt the truck shake all the time not just at a certain speed i mean i could be wrong

'U' joints wont always shake All the time. Usually they shake at slow speeds and as the driveshaft spins up faster it tends to center itself and the car smooths out. NOT ALWAYS.
Not sure why they didn't indorm you the 'U' joints were bad when they swapped out the axle. Boy I hope you really need a replacement rear and you didn't spend $850 or a few $23 'U' joints.
Not sure what tools you have but I change my 'U' joints on my vehicles. Sledge Hammer and a Vice. You don't need to Press them out, you can hit them out by seating the bad joint in the vice and hitting down on the Yoke Weld.
