Hey guys, I live in Vegas but am currently banging out this message from up near Mammoth, Ca. I'm supposed to be on the road home right now but my expo decided otherwise. I had a hole blow in the clutch question. Amazingly enough I found a replacement line down in bishop so I'm heading the 40 miles down there in a few minutes to pick that up. I've already got my old setup out.
I did some reading last night and it sounds like bleeding it may be a pain in the butt! I'm solo today until my friend gets off work so if I can't bleed it I'm likely here for another night which isn't the end of the world but I really really should be at work tomorrow. LOL Mammoth isn't the worst place to be stranded so oh darn! LOL But anyways, I'm hoping to pick up a syring and be able to force bleed it.
My question though... Is the bleeder the small bolt head looking piece about 2" above where the hydro clutch line attaches to the slave on the side of the trans? I think that's it but I've never seen a bleeder valve that looks like that so I just wanted to make sure that's really what it is.
If that's not it, where is the bleeder valve at? Anyone have a picture?
If I can't self bleed it today somehow I'll have to wait till tonight when he's home and do the normal pump the peddal routine and well, at that point I'll have to decide if I want to do the late late late night run home for work or just make the call and play hookey one more day.
Ahhhhhh, remote vehicle maintenance!!! Good times!!!! Good times!!!
Off to Bishop for parts, will come back, get it installed and then check for replies in probably 3 hours or so...
Thanks guys!
Khris
