So I attempted to do this at home at ran into an issue. I followed everything in the procedure and after getting it back together I'm not getting any shifting at all. Please tell me I just forgot something and it an easy fix.

Thanks to anyone that can help./...

did this and there's still no shifting at all. Even replaced it with the old solenoid again and nothing is working. What could I have possibly missed? It's all straight forward.

I just verified the fluid level and it's all set per what I read on here. I'm not sure what step to take next. I have the positive cable off now and waiting an hour to see if it changes anything. please! any help would be greatly appreciated, this is my daily driver....

thanks

I believe I followed the instructions pretty closely. especially with the torques. All 1/4 drives used. Haven't tried to check a fuse yet though. any ideas on which one to start with?

Well I think I found the problem... The black linkage next to the VB has a small bar or tube that controls a slide in the VB when shifting, well this tube is broken off of that linkage. Would anyone know what the name of that linkage is so I can replace it in the morning at the dealer? UGH!!!

Thanks for all your help...

Are you referring to the parking rod? https://www.wittrans.com/SchematicParts.aspx?Transmission=5R55N/5R55S/5R55W&LinkCode=994

The part that broke was actually 991-3. But while replacing it the Park Rod came out of it's position and now it's seems impossible to find the location. Is there a print or diagram on here that will show me the proper location of the spring side?

Thanks for your help Brooklyn. I knew where that location hole was just not the location that the other end of the Park Rod had to go since it fell out partially. But, I did figure it all out and got everything back together and running all though not very good. Now it seems the shift issue is still at 2-3 and now also 3-4. Plus it's slipping from reverse gear if I hit the gas to much. Any ideas? I've been told low fluid would cause this, but I followed the fluid add procedure to a T. I thought anyways.

Thanks again

Well, I believe I'm stuck. I can't solve the current issue of why it is slipping in reverse or why there is hesitation between 2-3 and 3-4 gears now. It actually gets better when I remove more fluid which is odd. But only gets a little better. If anyone else has any other ideas please let me know. If I take it somewhere, I'm sure they will try and shaft me for a rebuild which isn't what it needs. I just know it something different with all the changes that happen with each little adjustment I make. I guess I just need to find the right one. Ugh!!!!

Yes I did with no changes. only removing more fluid made a change. I made a few adjustments with no shift changes. At a loss here.

I did thanks, and that really has me thinking that the servos are my issue. It also gave me an idea on the reverse issue, with checking to see if they gave me the correct gasket for my trans. I'm thinking the servo job will be out of my league as I don't really have the facilities to drop the trans and do the job. I may be stuck taking it in anyways. Any ideas on what they may charge for repairing the servos?

Thanks
