Help tranny issues!

i stated my problem at the end of my thread about where to locate a shift kit for my 5r55e.

i drove it today to autozone to see if they could find a code, as expected, they couldnt. my O/D light will start to flash after i start driving. it flares between shifts, fluid gets extremely hot (up to 210*F today) shifts hard, and will sometimes not shift into overdrive. please help, school starts back tuesday!

A transmission shop with a special scanner could read the codes that Autozone's scanner couldn't read.

ok i think i know a place hes done work before on the ex. do yall need codes before any suggestions can be made? i really need it running smoothly by tuesday.....

Some transmission shops might not even charge for pulling codes since they make money on an entire rebuild.

do you think i should replace the solenoids?
fluids are almost new and not leaking

There are other electrical components other than the solenoids in the valve body. There are speed sensors, and the harness has a temperature sensor. Sometimes the electrical fault could be in the bulkhead connector.
