1992 LIFTED EXPLORER
i have researched some but i still cant figure it out.... i have a 92 explorer thats lifted with a auto tranny... its making some weird noise while driving that i really cant explaing but also it will "clunk" every now and then... my explorer just feels really sluggish lately and im loosing power.. also when i smash the gas it will take off (no slipping) and will accelerate until about 5000rpms and some times it will shift and others it will loose power and not shift at all until i left off the gas... im afraid if i keep driving it will tear the tranny out of it... it just doesnt sound or feel right any more...

any ideas

i also changed the filter the other day and changed fluid and it still didnt help... is there any thing else i can adjust

sounds like maybe the bands could use adjusting .

i'm sure the others here will comment on it tho, but that would be my first guess .

Seriously, Bands need adjusting, or you may have something "floating" in there a chuck of metal or something?
