Ok, my inner wheel bearing went out again, completly in destroyed. And this left the inner bearing race siezed on the spindle. So I'm going to pull the spindle and try the oven trick to try and get it off. But the abs sensor won't move. I removed the bolt on the back of the sensor and it still won't come off. I searched and found that theres supposed to be 2 bolts?? Where's the second bolt at?

Aside from the obvious one you've probably already removed - the other one is a smaller (I think you'll need like a 6mm socket, but don't quote me on that) and directly underneath the sensor on the back side of the spindle. It's kind of a pain to get to but it's there...you might have to go back towards the center of the axle with a flashlight and look through the back side to see it.

You're gonna need a 12 point socket like 5.5 mm or something like that. There's a thread about changing ball joints that covers it.

The one I removed was a 6 point bolt can't remember right now what size socket I used. And it was on the back below the sensor wire. I'll check out that thread again its been awhile sinceI looked at it. And I'll go see what the socket size I used for the first one and look for the other bolt again maybe I just missed it.

Ok guys found the missing bolt. right where you said it was I just didn't look deep enough. Thanks for the quick reply's.

WOOOHOOO!! I got the race off, the oven trick didn't work so I had to cut it in 2 pieces. Then after I had it in completly 2 pieces it still didn't move had to smack both pieces off with a hammer and screw driver. Just had to let everyone know that, cause I'm one happy **** right now lol.

Never had luck with the oven deal. Besides that the wife caught me using it that way and let me have it. I know it’s a new oven dear but I did degrease it first. What was that my pillow is on the couch?

Now I use a propane torch to heat things up or a good heat gun. I also found that doing it this way I can heat just the part I want to expand and not every thing else also. That is one reason and oven trick dose not always work. when you heat the race up to expand it for removal you also expand the spindle shaft and they stay stuck together in stead of one staying normal and one part expanding and loosening up.

Yeah I thought about it expanding the spindle and it stay stuck on there. So while trying the oven I got my girl to run to wally world and pick me up a dremel. I did scar the spindle in one spot not real bad just a hair line cut. But it'll be ok for now, I'll make a run to pull-a-part and pick up a spindle next weekend.
