help with battery saver relay, were to start?

so one day my windows and lights- inside -of my 96 xlt explorer stoped working. i checked all the fuse's under hood and in panel in door, all checked out ok with test light. so then i go to the relays under the dash and find that the battery saver relay is out. so i say thats ok not a big deal and buy a new one, i put it in and my windows WORK and LIGHTS WORK again, 20 min after i put the new relay in i go to the store and come back out when i am done and start my truck and try to roll down the window and then dont work! so i get under the dash and pull that relay again and its hot/not working. i have not put a new one in yet. i want to know if there is some other problem or if i will be ok to put a new relay back in.

well noone has input on this so i will update! i just took out the dimmer relay next to the batter saver relay. put the dimmer relay into the battery save spot and window work now. going to wait a day and see if the relay still goes out of if this will kill my battery.

I had an issue with mine also. Battery light was on and battery would die. Thought it was alternator, battery saver, relays & fuses, and maybe wiring & grounds.

I cleaned some grounds up. Checked on Chiltons where they had higher amp fuses than original. I upgraded my generator/voltage reg fuse and its back to normal. After the fiasco of removing battery and taking it to the store to have it tested, the check engine lights and ABS lights are off now. I have no warning lights. I will let you know if it stays that way. Long shot would be, the alternator wasnt providing enough voltage to regulator and to the system. Im dreaming but Ive seen more impossible things happen.

My dash lights are out but overheads work. Dimmer does dim the radio though and works all overhead lights on/off. Wondering if you figured out what is causing your issues.
