Really dumb question that is making me mad. I just bought a CB and have been trying to find the Ford noise filter with no luck. Anyway, to get some use out of my purchase, I want to hook up a PA speaker. Will I get interference from the fuel pump trying to talk on it or does the fuel pump only affect the radio signals?
Thanks

I never had any feedback or problems with a PA system. I had a cheap $5 radio shack speaker and a "Jerry-Rigged" (No offense to anyone named Jerry) Wiring deal.

They are a lot of fun, but just becareful what you say and who is around, Cops aren't to friendly to them (HE HE).

That timing is strange... something must be wacky in the DB.

I mounted it somewhere on the wheel well under the hood. I don't remember exactly. It is a relatively small speaker so just play around until you find a spot you like!

Just a thought guys, but take the hot lead out of the ignition system..The interference is alternator noise..I have mine wired to a power block under the hood that also sports my lights, and stereo system..All of these are being feed juice directly from the battery with each one being turned on be a relay that is juiced from the ignition system..No filters, no surging lights, and no noise in any part of my system, cb, stereo or other..

That's all I have to do is get an ignition turn on relay?!? Sweet! By doing this, Are you sure I won't get any interference like what's explained here? http://www.4x4central.com/tips.htm#rfi.
Thanks a lot for your help

Mdrut,

Where did you get the power box? Radio Shack?
