hey guys, dont mean to sound like a chevy owner but i need help figuring out where to connect my new code scanner? haynes doesnt help,nor does to book that comes with the scanner. any help would be appreciated.

Since you have a '93, it should be the same as in my 1992. When you face the hood, it should be on the left side, near the fender, beside the airbox. It a little black box attached to the fuses box. It reads ecc or eec on it. It's not a box but actually a cap where the plugs are...

Who makes a good code scanner...? Could you be specific on brand and model. I has a '93. I would like some recommendations. I'd like to buy the best tool once...

I bought mine at Wal-mart. Don't remember the brand but it was $25 and I believe it will work thru the 94 models. 95 and newer models, you have to use one of the OBD-2 models and they are about $200 and not available from Wally World. Just don't forget the 9 volt battery that does not come with the scanner.
