Hey. Tonight my dash light went out.... I have no idea why. checked all fuses (could have missed one) but all other options work. Any Ideas?

Dash light? You mean your instrument cluster lights? If so, just one of the clusters, or the whole thing? More info, please.

Well, all the lights in the instrument cluster and lights for the ash tray and a/c controls is out with I thought would have been a fuse. but im not sure at this moment due to I have check them all but Ill check them again today

My bet is the culprit is your headlight switch. There is a mechanical rheostat on the front of the switch that controls all of the lights you mentioned. Mine was beginning to fail in this way about a year ago...replaced the switch, problem fixed.:us:

well i checked the fuses again. keeps blowing one fuse the one for all the cluster lights.

Does anyone have a wireing diagram for a 93 explorer. I took apart my dash just to see if there was anything burnt but nothing oh and Iam looking for a new radiator do they sell lighter weight or better flowing ones?

I was surprised that I was the only one to respond to your question...maybe it's because of the holidays. Just wondering if you got any resolution to your electrical problem. As far as your radiator question, you might need to start a separate thread. I'm on my third radiator now, and have always just replaced it with the same design...a two-row with the crimped ABS polymer on both ends. I've never had cooling problems as long as the system was in good shape.

light prolbem

i had a 92 explorer i run a 97 now but i had the same prolbem no dash or head lights or tail lights the prolbem was fixed when i put the stearo in it there was a wire that when it got power everything started to work i dunno but it worked for me

dashlights

Lonewolf, I just had the same thing happen to my 92 and it was the headlight switch. It's easy to replace and it was around $15 at Napa.

so it turns out it was a combo of two diff fuses always blowing because of the wrong size
