Help with front wheel spacers

How do you keep the wheel from turning as you install the spacers? Only thing I can think of is turning the car on and having someone stand on the brakes while I torque them down. I tried holding by hand, but I can only get em to 40 ft/lbs that way. Please help, the truck is jacked up right now sitting there looking all vulnerable and helpless.

lower the jack to where the tire is just touching the ground but there is no weight on it. That will hold it form spinning.

No, I'm putting on spacers. The wheel is off because I have to torque down the spacer before I put the wheel back on.
