Help with install

Can anyone tell me how to get behind the factory cd player to hook up my amp and sub or if there is an alternative way. Im new to the explorer.

The best way is go to your local audio shop & buy "Ford keys". There are two holes on each side of the radio, push the keys in til they click, then push the keys outward and pull.

Don't pay for Ford Keys.....
Simply cut and form a wire coat hanger, it's the exact same thing..

When I was ready to replace my HU, I just stopped buy the local Ford garage and had one of the techs pull it out for me. It was free, and only took about a minute.

Hehe i just used a cut up coat hanger works wonders. Or do what Lil98sport4x4 did, and see if theyl remove it for free.
