Just finished my engine swap. Turned key, nothing. Strong fuel odor. I did repair the S wire connection when it broke mounting starter.

Just crawled underneath to to touch screwdriver to Positive terminal to S terminal. Heard loud click and fuel poured on me.

Second attempt was clear there was to too much spark, no turning over the motor, and about 1/2 an ounce of fuel in my ear.

When starting using the key, headlights stay bright (don't even dim), yet instrument panel goes dark while turning key. I'll search for the fuel issue, but am at a loss as to why motor will not turnover.

Only one of the three connector plugs from tranny to motor are connected (on driver side), but TQ is out of tranny, and am only testing new motor. Help? Thanks! -DW

Fuel issue was a loose fuel injector connection on #6
