I ordered the Skyjacker steering stabilizer back in Sept and liked it. Then I ditched the Superlift sway bar drop brackets for the skyjackers and when i ran 2 skyjacker components together it did not work. I called skyjacker and explained that their system of mounting the bracket to the framerail and having the stabilizer hanging out there cause the outer end of the shock to bend and will eventually break so I removed the stabilizer. He said I could drill new hole further back in my frame, but I think this will bind up, and will also be back too far. I wish i had brackets like the duff or rancho. Any suggestions either on an easy homemade bracket to go under the motor or where to get the bracket for cheap. I was thinking maybe drilling a hole in a piece of Angle iron, but don't know if it will bend out if I dont set it up exactly correct.
Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, you can buy just the brackets for the Rancho set...If you would like, I can get you the part#....Or, I can probally e-mail you pics and specs on the Rancho brackets. The inner bracket mounts to the lower side of the crossmember, and the outter mounts to the end-link..

Yeah
I can probably find it myself. I have the bracket that goes on the tie rod. I just need the one for the crossmember. Let me just say now that I have been burned in this hobby and BUY THE GOOD STUFF RIGHT AWAY. Enought times, like this and with sway bar brackets, hubs etc. I buy the item that is $10 or 20 bucks less, then it doesn't work out like the good stuff you should have bought, then I end up spending more money buying the parts from the first company
I will now have Rancho brackets for $24 and Jacker brackets and shock for $50 cause I would have saved like $9 when getting jackers, but now it will cost like thirteen more to run jacker shock on rancho brackets
SHEESH.
maybe this is a crisis only I have, and I am also trying to justify why I paid $80 for my cables to run my winch to my rear reciever. On a good note, I picked up a Warn M8000 plus 4 way rollerfairlead, plus front reciever plus mounting basket from some sucker for $300 who was buying it with a truck from another guy and couldn't come up with the cash. The dude tried selling me the works for $750 a day or 2 before.
