I have a pioneer 10' sub and a 400 watt amp to push it. Well heres the dilima. I have a full stereo system in my truck

Pioneer deh3500 cd player
2 infinity refrence 6x9's
Usx 2080 80x2 amp
Usx 600f

Well the truck went out of comision so i was going to go for a temp setup in my moms explorer. I called a local shop and they wanted 300 bucks to install all my stuff. No way. So im just going to put in my sub and amp. Now i know i will need to get a loc for the amp. But where is the easiest place to hack into the speaker wire? I was thinking of pulling back the cd headunit and using taping it there. But is there anwhere else i can get to the speaker wire in the car easier?

From you explination of what you want to do. I suggest you take the sub and amp to a reputable installer and let them do it.

I would have to agree with black magic. The easiest place would be behind the deck though, please dont use tape though.

lol i took the rear door panel off and hacked into that speaker wire. But when the music fades my bass does also. I may end up just instaling my pioneer deh3500 and using rca preouts and the remote turn on. Right now i have a toggle switch to turn the amps on and off. also i had a hell of a time finding a ground. So i just folded the right back seat up and lifted that flap and drilled a hole in the floor pan. Is there anything i could have hit? I looked under the car and the gas tank is on the left side. It hasnt blown up yet so i guess im fine.
