Help with tranny

I have a 2007 new to me ex xlt w/ 4.0 4x4. 32,500 miles now. How do I find out what tranny it has in it? I have original window sticker and all books but do not know what it has in it. how many diff ones are there. It does have the class III/IV tow package with 3.73 gears if that helps.
Is this one of the trannies that need flushing and fluid changes every 30,000 or so? I am not sure if it has been done or not so if time is right I will go ahead so I know I am on schedule.
I have had 5 other explorers but not a Gen IV. Last was an 01.

It has a 5R55S transmission. On 2006 up all 6 cylinder used 5R55S 5 speed trans and 8 cylinder used 6 speed transmission.

Nice low mileage! IMO, no need to worry about transmission fluid until 60K.

i heard not to change your transmission fuild which even states in the manual as u can ruin ur vehicle trans

If you're ever worried about possibly filing a warranty claim on a trans problem, you'll need to demonstrate you had the maintenance performed in accordance with the manual.
