Hey guys hope I can get some help here... Having a problem with xploda, seems that she wont stay running when I sit still or put in park. I have to gas her when I crank up. It will idle for few seconds then die. Ive been having some problems with the oil breather thats going into the custom intake I have. Could there be air getting into my intake? Or is there a way to bypass the oil breather hoes going into the intake?

It sounds like the Idle Air Contol valve (IAC valve) is stuck shut. This happened on my wifes 2001 4.0 Sport. I pulled it off, sprayed the plunger inside of it with some penetrating oil and worked it back and forth so it would move smoothly and sprayed it clean with brake cleaner. It was good for about 2 years untill it happened again, then I replaced it.

You can get to it by removing the plastic "4.0 SOHC" top motor cover. It sits on top of the intake plenum, there are two mounting bolts and an electrical connector to unplug to remove it. The gasket is a molded O-ring and can be reused. Good luck, Hope this helps!

Yeah I ended up having to replace the IAC, picked up the part at the parts store last night... everything works good now.

thanks for the post
