Just took my truck to the shop because it has been running very rich, they told me that one side on the V6 is getting more fuel than the other. They are not sure why, got any ideas??

Could be 02 sensors,could be fuel pressure regulator.Can you explain a little better,like rough idle,crappy gas mileage,check engine light,etc,etc.

i Am getting about 9 mile to the gallon and after i drive it for a little and sit in park it idles very rough, but beside that it alway idles rough just worse in drive

also my check engine light comes on and off time to time

Sounds like your fuel pressure regulator went south:(

try this

mine did the same thing. chased it around for weeks, replaced almost every sensor on it. then i talked to a mechanic freind of my dad's, he said sure i know whats wrong, replace the thermostat. I thought there was no way it was going to work, but it did.

rough idle when warm and on off engine light sounds like the maf or the o2 sensors

Can you smell gas coming out the exhaust?

Shouldn't the fuel pressure regulator affect both sides?

Yes i can smell fuel out of my exhaust and sometime it get so bad that it makes a white cloud

Check the vacume hose on the regulator,if its got gas in it then its shot:( Very common problem on first gen explorers:(
