How y'all doin I got a 98 mountaineer 5.0 v8 2wd that:
1. Idles rough (literally feels like I have a mild cam) - hot cold warm doesn't matter you can feel it in the truck good
2. From a dead stop if I punch it to the wood it hesitates/breaks up/bucks whatever ya wanna call it does for a couple seconds then clears up and takes off also riding about 35-45 I wanna say if I try and apply a little more than quarter throttle quickly or even roll on fast it breaks up then clears out and goes
I've already cleaned my MAF sensor and my IAC with no luck, new air filter, fuel filter needs a tune up but idk if that would cause it
It revs with no problems at all in park or neutral at any amount of throttle
Also I had a crack in the EGR tube that made a chatterin noise with rpms and a buddy told me I could cut it and fold each end back and crimp it down and put it back on like almost like an EGR delete I did that and it took care of the chattering don't know if that has anything to do with the breakup
Any help or suggestions y'all can think of will be appreciated thanks!
