Been a multiple ranger owner for years and have used therangerstation forums countless times and even snuck on here a few times to troubleshoot problems. Both sites and invaluable. Anyway, just picked up my first explorer (2000 4.0 sohc 4wd w/ 135k miles for $1500). Truck runs good and is in really good condition overall, does have a few issues though. Has a rough idle at start up, seemingly on colder mornings. Already found a couple threads on this and am going to try to clean the IAC first. Truck also has an ABS problem, but having had a few rangers, this isn't new to me so I pretty much know how to take care of that. Also, has a little bit of a whine while in 4wd....going to start with checking fluid in the transfer case & front differential. So, Hi all, glad to be a memeber officially, and thanks for everyones input.
