Hey guys,
got a few questions for a friend on his exlporer about a lift.

First, he wants a 2 in body lift. What are some good companies that have them(link to website please). It is a 97 explorer XLT.

Will he need extention on brake lines, driveshaft extention......anything else that he may need to run close to normal. (i dunno if you do.....the unibody cherokee(mine) cant get a body lift)?

Have you guys put body lifts on....if so any write ups or adivce....He has basic tools, anything out of the ordinary tools to get the job done.

Finally, any pics with just a 2 in. body lift out there.....just lookin for finished product pics

Thanks guys I appreciate it.

Or.........Is the Torsion Twist w/ worrior shackles a little cheaper.....what would you say that adds....about two inches of lift?

the tt is free and the schackles are like $50 bucks and you get about 2" from that. it is alot easier and less time consuming than a bl also. do a search and there are plenty of writeups on how to do a bl and the tt/shackles

I don't know much about body lifts but I would suggest to him after thinking about it myself to go the torsion twist/shackle or aal. He'll be able to get 2"s out of that pretty easy from what I understand. I personally like aal's since they stiffen up the ride alittle. There is a really good write up I think in the usefull threads board that does a pretty complete write up. If he does do the body lift he won't need any extensions other than possibly a steering shaft extension (included in the performance accessories kit I think) If he does want a body lift goto 4 wheel parts they are pretty good. Do a search and you'll find all the info you've ever wanted. Hope that helps!
