ok just took over my bros 93 4x4 sport. as far as i can see the body is gone and i want a new tranny lol. i want to do some mods but dont know what can be done. so far ofcourse the usual im putting headers a good muffler and solid 2.5 pipe all the way back. then ofcourse im changing wires upgrading the coil pack and probably putting hotter plugs in. then a cam. other then that body mods im thinking jack this thing up. and ofcourse im turning my center console into a fridge yay. is there any other transmission options for this thing maybe a super or turbo option. also want to gut 4x4 can someone tell me how to convert this thing to rwd

Welcome To The Forum! Why would you want to convert it to RWD if your going to lift it? You can put I think a C4 trans in it or M5OD or the A4LD trans in it. If you insist on RWD just take the front driveshaft out or just run it without the 4X4 engaged, if you're thinking of doing it for gas saving reasons, you won't gain much by it. Good luck!

thanx everyone honestly i dont need 4x4 and to be honest im thinking of junking the 4.0 and going 302. wouldnt be hard if i had wiring diagranms for the bulkheads off a f150 88 probably and ofcourse for the 93 explorer. who makes lift kits. also my 4x4 doesnt work at all lol. guessing the 160 dollar 2 button switch in dash
