Hi, another newbie here. Just acquired a very tidy 1997 Explorer, as a third car for hauling the family around on holiday and weekends. It's not supposed to be my daily drive but I seem to be using it every day "just to check it out" you understand

I'm an IT senior type for a middle sized manufacturing firm in the UK, two small boys (who love the truck) and an American wife who thinks these 4.0L things are normal.
We all like cars - I've had a Grand Jeep in the past, and a Cadillac STS with the 4.6 Northstar - boy I miss that car. For the last umpteen years I've had a classic (of sorts) in the garage, but seem to have changed around now - my daily drive is supposed to be an Audi cabrio with the Explorer for weekend use but not yet...
Looking forward to reading more about these trucks on the forum, and to asking some rather silly questions!
