Hi everyone.
Until the day before yesterday, I had a 2012 Escape, but it got totaled in an accident, so I am looking for a replacement.
I've had an Explorer in the past (a 1993 Sport), which I traded in for a 2005 Ranger.
I like the looks of the current Explorer Sport, but I would have to check out it's dimensions first. I have two garages, both single car. The house garage has a lower garage door opening than standard. To fit either the Explorer or the Ranger that I owned, I had to remove the radio antenna.
My detached garage is 24' long, but has a partitioned off workshop in the back. My Escape fit, so does my other car (a 2003 BMW 325xiT) and my parent's 2004 Toyota Camery. I would have to see if the current Explorer will fit.
So, right now I am in the research phase. I also will have to see what kind of settlement I get on my Escape.
