- 1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 v6
Hi all! Found your site while looking for info on replacing brake lines. I have a 1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 v6, it's a UK model so i've been having difficulty getting parts. My MOT is approaching so decided to replace my exhaust as it was badly corroded, got a replacement and fitted with no problems. My brake lines were an advisory on the last MOT so i purchased some Kunifer brake line to replace the rotten steel ones, started on the one on the rear axle and thats as far as i've got! I can't seem to find the correct flare nuts for the brake line? I thought they would be the standard M10 fittment but i think they might me 3/8". Anyway because i've tried to use M10 i think i've damaged the threads of the flexible hose connectors, called Ford UK and they don't do the parts?
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction as to parts?
Thanks in advance, i'll have a search through the posts to see in i can find the answers to my problems.
Thanks again!
Steve.
