--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi I'm having problems with my rear windows they do not work at all. They are stuck down and will not go up whether I use the driver controls or their own. so I took the driver door apart and found that there was a loose wire which has a plastic piece on it and a metal ball at the end. Any ideas on where this may go or why the windows wont go up?

welcome soulcalgirl

It might be the motor on ur window is out

Umm...I'd bet it has something to do with that wire. Try looking on the bottom of the controls and seeing if there is an obvious place where it went. Also check your fuses, take that wire and keep it away from everything. Check your fuses and see if you blew a fuse. If that line was a powered wire and it touched your door which I'm sure it did being loose like that it might have blown the fuse causing the other doors to not work. The front windows work? Do you have a multimeter so you could check if the wire is a positive or negative wire?

Do you hear the window motor at all?

Given that both rear windows don't work.... It's likely a fuse or broken supply wire. I doubt both motors would go bad at the same time.

I had the bearings in both window motors go bad within a week of each other. :wtf:

omg, i am currently fixing all my windows, they go really slow, and i found that the motors were bad, u have to replace all the bushings inside with hex nuts, they seemed to work great. but its a pain to put them back into the doors..
