im new got 1991 explorer xlt duel exhaust euro headlights and i got a few problems with it frist of all when i start up sometimes when i go to take off it will die on me only when engine is cold if it warm out then never does. scond of all i got a dead rpm range about 2500 i got no power and when i push on gas it makes bogging noise and when i really push on gas it jumps out of it and im fine but sometimes it if gowing slow enough it does again. any help plz it annoyes me so much thank you. go montana

Did you check for any stored codes? Sometimes it could be a bad fuel pressure regulator, clogged fuel filter or an out of spec engine coolant temperature sensor.

ill try that also when i tun off sometimes it will desel out or spit and sputter wont stop eather gott turn key back on it returns to run normal and shut off just fine

Did you ever replace the DPFE sensor?

thats on side of intake manfoild behind the throttle body right if so yes

This is the DPFE: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164517. I'm still suspicious of the MAF. Unplug it the next time you have this problem. Your check engine light will illuminate, and it will store a code, but I want to determine if the problem suddenly goes away.

unplug maf while it running and it will store code and also i was gowing to put 5.0 maf on it next i also got tbs and big cone filter
