Hi,
I just joined to try to get info for my older bro who isnt comp literate but is being effed by a mechanic.
I would like to know if replacing the front transmission seal should have been done by the mechanic when he fixed the 3-4 shift solenoid on a 1994 auto 4x4 ford explorer.
he recently had this done twice by the same mechanic because he effed up the first time and now the front seal is out and leaked all fluid leaving me stranded and wondering why they want to charge him $2900.
When he asked them they said they dont do that unless it is specifically requested which leads me to believe it could have been done easily when he initially paid only 600 to get the solenoid fixed.
Please help!!!
I would like either the answer or a link or copy of a repair manual for a 94 auto 4x4 explorer. Thanks in advance for any help
