1999 Explorer Sport
I'm new to this. I've posted once before and had my concerns answered and was able to fix the problem. Now I have another one. I have a 1999 Explorer sport, and I am hearing "ticking" sounds that are coming from the fuse box under the hood. I've checked this, and the sounds are coming from the relays numbered 8 and 10. From what I've been able to determine, this is the PCM relay and the automatic ride control relay. -- I think. Can anyone possibly tell me what is causing the ticking sound? What do these relays actually control? Thank-you for any replies!

Welcome to this forum! They might click if they are not making contact properly. Pull them out, and spray the contacts with contact cleaner. Put an antioxidant grease on the prongs, then plug them back in.

Thank-you

Thank-you very much. Problem solved:)
