Hi, all,
I have a Ford, but it is tiny --- Not a truck --- just a little Ford Festiva 1.3 L manual.
I live in Australia and drive a Hyundai Terracan 2.9 L CRDi Diesel Manual.
I have been researching on the internet how my transfer case clutch works and this forum keeps cropping up.
Ford and Hyundai both use Borg Warner transfer cases as do a lot of other manufacturers.
I have contacted Hyundai and Borg Warner regarding the transfer case as to how it works. It appears that the information is proprietory and have been unable or unwilling to answer my questions.
My truck (SUV) has 2wh-4wh-4wl shift on the fly arrangement (not TOD, not AWD ) with a vacuum operated CADS arrangement for the front axles. (very similar to some Ford Explorer versions).
I do not wish to take up up too much "Ford" space but I hope that I may ask some general questions about the GEM, Ball ramp clutch, and in particular the transfer case workings.
Cheers John
