Hi,

After changing fuel injectors (bad fuel - really bad), my explo 99 has high idle all the time - near 2000 rpms, and accelerates from 0 mph OK - but has no kickdown at all. Could it be TPS ? or what else can i try ?

sorry for my english - it's not perfect :)

TPS sounds possible. How does it shift????

When accelerating from stop - it's nearly OK - not smoothly (you can feel a changing gear) but when it's on highest gear - gearbox is not reducing and car accelerates very slowly.

But i think it's beacuse of high RPM and gearbox gets wrong signals from computer.

well if the TPS is out of sync it will do that. Is it throwing any codes? I would start with what codes it is showing and go from there

Try Cleaning MAF

I recently had a similiar problem, and it was a bad mass airflow sensor. Try cleaning your MAF first. Don't forget to reset the computer after you are done.

Check the IAC that happens alot when they go bad.
