High Idle RPM

I was having problems with my 99 Explorer stalling when first started in the morning.I replaced the IAC,that solved the problem.When I start it now it idles from 1500-2000 rpm's.I drove down the road at a speed of 25 km/h without touching the gas.I unpluged the IAC and it does not stall.Is there anyway to adjust the idle?

The idle is pre set and not adjustable.

Make sure the throttle is returning all the way and make sure you're cruise isn't causing a problem.

After it warms up do the rpm's return to normal?

No cruise control.The throttle is returning all the way.As for the rpm's they are around 1000-1250 after warming up.I did notice that when the a/c pump kicks in the rpm's go up for a bit.The a/c pump kincks in around every 30secs or so,maybe a min.
