In my efforts lately to stop a long existing stumble on my 98 4.0 OHV Sport, I ended up with a code telling me I had a misfire on my #2 cylinder. Anyways, long story short I had replaced both plugs and wires within 200 miles of each other before I went ahead and replaced the injector on the #2 cylinder. Problem solved... For one trip!
Next day after getting into town, I noticed it stumble a little under load. Then came the high idle, followed by another CEL. Scanned it, and got only a P0171. I did a search and checked into my vacuum lines, and all checked out alright.
Aside from it getting crappy gas mileage on 93 oct, and having tons of new parts, what could cause this?
