High Idle?

When starting my truck, it idles at about 1100-1300 RPMs then jumps to about 1500 for a second or two the slowly drops down to about 900-1000. After a bit of driving it'll idle about about 600-700. Is everything ok here ?

Next time you start it, make sure the HVAC control is set to OFF and see if it happens. If not, bump is for the compressor kicking in. Otherwise, sounds fairly normal to me. I'm pretty sure mine behaves the same way.

ok, i rarely use the HVAC anyway and it is usally off when i start it. thanks for the reply.
