Hi....I bought a 06 Limited in September, 14K miles, I also bought the Extended Warranty...
So far this forum has been very helpful, every problem I had a did a search and someone else has the same problem. For example:
Two days after buying it I had a dead battery, they replaced it no problems since.
About a week after that I was getting gas and when I tried to leave the station, the gear shift selector was stuck in park, had to have it flatbedded back to the dealer! It was the 'gear shift selctor switch' apparently there was a service bulltin about it..no problems since
OK...my question...this has been driving me crazy. Whenever the kids are watching a DVD in the back using the headphones, both wireless and wired, as soon as I press the "Enable Headphones" button I get a high pitch whine from all the speakers in the car. It's not real loud, but's it loud enough to keep annoying as hell.
When it was being serviced for one of the problems I mentioned above, I asked them to look at it and they claimed that it was not making the noise.
When I picked the car up, I was instanly able to re-create the problem, I went back in and asked them to listen, they guy they send out said he could not hear it..I felt I was going crazy, then then serviceman said he may be deaf in that tone range, they sent another guy out and he could hear it...
They told me they will have to send the whole radio back for servicing, it may take a few weeks. I just think it sucks that I have to drive around for a few weeks with a hole in my dash and no radio...I have a 40 minute commute to work.
I also think that this may not even solve the problem...sound like a short circuit somewhere...
Has anyone else had this problem???
Thanks
Rick
