High rpm shifting

I just bought a 4wd 2003 automaric trans. explorer and when I'm coming out of first gear it shifts kinda high, it isn't a rough or hard shift it just shifts high, and it doesn't always do it if I go really slow, I'm gonna run some trans fix through it but if that doesn't work should I just put in a new transmission

Seems a little hasty to slap a new transmission in if a bottle of whatever doesn’t fix it.
