Please post your mileage and any major issues you have had. Lets post only cars with 100K + miles.

Mine is 06, V8 116K miles, my only issues are wheel bearings and spark plugs.

No new radiator? I cannot believe!

Mine is v8, radiators are v6 issue.

Explorer PL - At what mileage did you change brake pads?

They usualy last about 40K but I did it few times in between when the bearings went. The brakes got damaged at the same time.

my 2006 V8 XLT turned 275,000 kilometers yesterday, no major issues yet :)

Wow, I thought I am the only one clocking 400-500 miles a week :)
Congrats Rookie.

Close enough to 100k to count (98k).

2006 v8 Limited

3rd row motor (2x) broken again
Drivers lumbar support (2x) broken again
Intake manifold
Radiator
factory issue with left rear ABS wire
Exhaust manifold
2 TPMS sensors

2007 Limited (V6) - 106K miles.

Issues:
- Rear wiper motor bit the dust last winter. Morons at the local shop broke the trim cover shell then hot glued it back on. That lasted just long enough for them to go out of business before I noticed it - cost me an extra $30 for the new cover.
- Bearings (doing the front 2 now, backs next summer if they hold that long).
- Blend door actuators squeak in the cold, but still work. I'll fix those when they quit working.

06 explorer V-6 , 108000 KM's replaced the rad once ( at 60000 K ) and the front drivers side wheel bearing, thats it other than oil changes and regular maintenance very happy with truck so far.

Great "How To's" Thanks

1996 with 276,000 miles. Have replaced front rotors, front sway bar end links, front hubs, almost all the dash lights, belts and hoses, radiator, and wired up the tail pipe recently with a clothes hanger (lol). Still need to fix the blend door, replace the remaining dash lights that are bad, spark plugs (after I hire the Incredible Hulk to pull off the wires!), and figure out why my 4WD keeps 'thumping' occaisionally after I put it back into 2WD...

Impressive number of miles.

(But not a 2006+ 4th generation Explorer.)

2007 Eddie Bauer 2WD V6- 132k miles

I have a 2007 Explorer EB 2WD V6 with 132k miles on it.

Problems-

Radiator- replaced at 68k miles (only 18 months old at the time!)

A/C compressor failed @ 92k miles - repair cost $1500+
A/C compressor failed again at 121k miles, but was covered by the 2-year warranty from the previous repair...

Current problems (unrepaired)-

Leaky sunroof (stained headliner will need replacing)

Gearshift indicator backlighting (on console) died over two years ago- Ford requires that the entire shifter assembly be replaced, not just the bulb!?

Power Folding 3rd Row seat back on left side is stuck in the down position, gear stripped and won't raise. Replacement part is $280+ and seat has never even been used!

I'm less than thrilled with my '07 Explorer, to say the least!!! Especially since my sister is still driving the '03 Explorer XLT 4WD that I owned before this one- just turned 200k miles and all it's ever needed is a radiator and (at 190k) a rear wheel bearing and ABS sensor.

2006 EB V6 83,000

Radiator replaced at 66,000 (I've since installed a 16lb rad cap and it's been fine)
Front wheel bearings at 72,000
Replace front rotors and pads while doing the bearings
Changed front/rear diff and transfer case fluids at 72,000
It was running well but I bought the Ex used at 68,000 and decided to change the plugs and wires at that time.
Installed a K&N air filter when I bought it.
Blend door is noisy but still works fine.

Vehicle is running great.

Mine is an 06 V6 with 115,000 miles and going.

Has had the following replace, Radiator, fan, throttle control, thermostat housing, rear differential seal, rear wiper motor, and most recently front wheel bearing assembly. All but the wheel bearing were done under extended warranty, that one I did myself (took a sledgehammer to get it off).
