Hissing noise

Today i started my 1992 explorer 2wheel drive 2door.
I just needed to turn the wheels to check the f150 coil spacers i just installed.after i turn the engine off i noticed a hissing sound i moved the last spark plug wire on the driver side and it stoped i then when i moved it a certain way i could hear it again for a few secounds and it went totaly away i check the spark plug and it is in good.Anyone have this problem before or no what it is.

It sounds like you have a vacuum leak and I think where you moved the plug wire (drivers side near firewall) is where a vacuum tree is. I would look around that area and inspect your vacuum lines..
 






Thanks i looked and could not find any vacumlines loose but i did notice that the driver's side valve cover is leaking oil it looks wet around the valve cover bolts close to the fire wall.
Is the valve gasket easy to change if the gasket was bad would it leak oil like that.

the vavle cover gasket or a head gasket? the valve cover gasket is easy, and the head gasket is a pain
 






BadBoy, based on your other post re: white smoke, and what Jim said, I think it does point to a Head Gasket, albeit small leak (for now).
How's the antifreeze level ? losing any, small amount I would guess, maybe not even noticable.
Jim, agree ?
