still guys.. can a bad starter cause a drain?

also how do you tell the difference in whats bad the starter or mounted solenoid.. there is no real up front way.. i did some search but 10 pages into 25 pages i gave up.

Idk ill look later.to test the solenoid you just short one post directly to the positive side of the battery.that's the easy way,sure there is a way to test it with a ohm meter but idk what it should read.,your have to pull you starter and take it to advance or somewhere and have them test that.

the solenoid isnt the stock one i have had to replace it.. i can try the jump method.. but dont know it ill research to see what the method is..
