I spend about half the year down here in central Mexico (near Guadalajara) and have just purchased a nearly immaculate '93 Explorer Sport to drive while in residence here. This is my first Explorer so my learning curve is going to be very steep, but I am looking forward to it. I have always been a home mechanic and DIY type. However, parts and repair facilities are somewhat limited here so it is going to be a necessity for me to learn quickly. From what what I have seen so far on the Explorations site, I am confident I am going to get a lot of much needed help.
My first challenge is going to be new tires and tuning up a pretty sloppy suspension. Shocks were replaced two years ago and front end bushings within the last year. However, there is still a lot of wallow in the ride over the cobblestones, speed bumps and uneven asphalt down here. I am hoping to find some good repair advice for this problem on the forum. Any and all advice will be really welcome.
