i am new here. i have a 91 eb. i just got it to go over the Cascade Range one winter. my wife was in portland i was in bend.. long story. i got it for $400 and i had to fix the flex plate. i love it.. but am having probs with the tranny. i have the automatic. radio works,sometimes. front seats are trashed. clear is coming off on the hood and pars of the doors . but other then that everything works. did a google search and here i am. i all so have a 72 ranchero 500. there is a ton of info here.. great sight. i look forward to reading and asking for help here for a long time...

when i changed the oh crap. flywheel.. not flex plate. opps.. i am not sure if i conected everything back up.. it drives fine shifts good.. but no over drive.. and the gas is killing me.

Check the 3 pin wiring harness to see if it's plugged in. This connector also controls the TCC solenoid.

in town about 250 miles.. dont know alot about this x so idont know the size of the tank. and on trips about 300miles a tank

it just bugs me that at 60 the tach shows 3000 rpm... seem high...also in od when coasting down hill the rms drop to idle.. but not in drive..dont know if this helps but ya never know. man it is going to take years ta read even 25%of this sight......and i read fast... i think i might just really fall in deep lust for this sight

mine was not that bad..just the center part had broken and then rewelded together like 90degeres off.. andwould this affect my tranny?
