Sorry guys, the CHEVY can't make it but I will still be there with the real rig. I will also be limited to what I can do since the safety monitor, my wife, is escorting us. I hope she won't scream to much.

WHAT A RUN Dead Link Removed Dead Link Removed
That was a lot of fun. Even though a couple of people lost some trim parts and someone lost the lower corner of their taillight, the run was great. I will turn in the film tommrow and post the pictures soon.
Ji and I are trying to coordinate a run in the snow in March or April, check out the "playing in the snow" thread.

I have to agree. Even when the stocker is pulling a modified back up a slippery hill! Dead Link Removed Dead Link Removed I believe everyone had a great time, even the ones loosing parts (I wanted to remove that part.. yea, that's the ticket!)

Now, to find someone in the Bay area with a garage so I can put a lift kit on!

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that Due to a big rut and the rear end slipping in to it caused a very off camber situation that caused a loss of foam to the area directly beneath my butt in the drivers seat. I am glad that Tom could return the favor offered to him at Truckhaven. Greatly appreciated Dead Link Removed

P.S. Anyone w/ pictures of that please e-mail them to me or if you don't have a scanner e-mail me and we can arrange something.

i wanted to remount the license plate anyway! cool rut run enjoyed being swallowed by them no major damage (no offense ji) need to do it agian, sounds fun for a snow cruise! take care guys and i'll send the pics asap! later guys dog thanks ya too Dead Link Removed

Well, I didn't need the front license plate, but loosing the right rocker panel cover didn't go over too well with the wife. My thanks to Thomas's friend for fishing it out of the water trap. You're my hero!!
Had lots of fun running with you guys. All I have to do now is put all the stuff I lost at Hollister Hills back on and get rid of all the squeaks I just aquired after the run. Any body got any solutions as to why I'm squeaking so bad. Everything from turning the wheels to any movement up or down gives me a squeak.

Ray, Hollister mud has a habbit of doing that. Get youself a pair of shorts and some goggles and get busy with a hose and spray everything. This generally cures most of the squeeks.

Hollister mud is the worst. I dirt bike ride there and in the winter most of it turns in to Adoby clay. The last time I went there in the mud I was still geting clumps of mud off my bike two months later. You guys must have had a grate time there. Have you guys ever thought of going to Clear Creak to go weeling? Dead Link Removed

Yup, we had fun! I'm working on getting the Navajo lifted - looking at 5.5" of lift.

Where is Clear Creek at?

Clear Creek is out by Coalinga. I haven't been there myself, yet.
Here are directions.

How to get there: From the San Jose area, travel south on Highway 101 to Gilroy. Just past Gilroy, take the Highway 25 exit towards Hollister. Continue through town (Hwy. 25 runs through the town of Hollister) and head south for about 35 miles. You will pass by the Pinnacles National Monument. Turn left onto the Coalinga-Los Gatos Creek County road. Continue approximately 14 miles. At the BLM sign indicating the entrance to the Clear Creek Management Area, turn left. You will then be on the main road, Clear Creek Road, which is an unpaved road bisecting the Management Area. From Coalinga, take the Coalinga-Los Gatos Creek County Road to the turn-off to the Management Area, which will be a right-hand turn. From I-5, take the Panoche Road exit, and head west approximately 25 miles (the road turns to dirt within 2 miles of the highway, and turns back to pavement again after 14 miles). Continue on Panoche Road to the Idria Road, and left. This road will lead you to the north entrance of the Clear Creek Management Area. As of 9/97, there is a washout on this main road as you enter the Management Area. Travelers are advised to take a detour on the "Aurora Mine Road", which will bypass the washout.
