My hood is having a hard time staying up lately. I know that I need to replace the hood support cylinders.

I ordered both of them from Torrie ( http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com/ ).
Part numbers F67Z 16C826-AB and F67Z 16C826-AA - $21.00 each.

I havn't looked at whats involved in replacing them. Anyone who has done it or knows how please enlighten me.

Thanks ....

I've replaced my bed cover struts and it is pretty simple. You'll need to get a stick to hold up the hood. You need a small flat head screw driver to pry off the lock clips at each pivot point and you just pull it off the pivot. Installation is just the reverse order.

The hood is childsplay to fix. Just release the metal clips with a screwdriver and pull them off. I used a set of needlenosed channel locks on the top of the bad strut to keep the hood from fall down on me. You may need to adjust the struts though.
