Hi, My name is kevan and I live at Southampton in the UK. Can anyone Help me. My horn and cruise control has stopped working. It worked fine last year when I was towing and now its stopped,The car is 1998. I have checked all the fuses. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kevan ;)

It sounds like you have a clockspring problem. The clockspring is the wiring connection from the column to the stearing wheel that allows the wheel to turn without twisting the wires. Usually the air bag light is also on and is what gets peoples attention first.

Hi thanks for your reply. I will check it out

I had that problem with mine before, actually when I first bought it (used) the horn did not work and the cruise did not work, and it was a fuse... So that means they are wired together at the fuse box. maybe something happened there if you're certain that ther is no bad fuse... and btw, even if the fuse looks ok, i'd still try replacing it before i'd do anything major... in my book it says it's supposed to have a 10 or 15 amp I don't remember, and I put that in and it just kept blowin them.. so I put a 20 or 25 amp in (don't remember) and everything works now and it hasn't blown yet. I don't believe that stupid book for anything anymore.. (btw, mine's the eddie bauer so i'm not sure if it would be the same for yours but it sounds like it) ;)
