I have a '97 Explorer XLT 2 door 4.0 OHV with an electrical gremlin. It started about a year ago or so, I've owned it since 2017. The vehicle does not have a keypad at the driver door, but it does have a lock/unlock key fob. When the vehicle was parked at my g/f work, the horn started to go off and the locks were unlocking/locking. I don't know if the vehicle has an aftermarket alarm, or factory alarm. I did notice under the steering column, there was a switch in the panel, that had 3 or 4 brown wires running to it. Valet? I disconnected the wires from the switch and terminated their ends, thinking this switch is bad. It still occurred. It has happened while she was stopped at a traffic light and horn and locks started to act up. I checked the rear driver side panel and didn't notice a RAP module. I did replace the cruiser control switches on the wheel, as they were broken, thinking something was crossing wires. Right now I have the horn relay pulled.
